..... Gerard Kane, a retired Detective Sergeant from the New York City Police Department. Having seen a need for a security consulting firm that was not driven by ego, claiming to be all things to all clients, Jerry created K2S.

K2S specializes in providing practical solutions to complicated situations. Unlike many consultants in the security field we will not claim to be able to fix any problem, only to hit the client with a large bill and negative results later.

Jerry Kane

Jerry retired in 2005 as the Commanding Officer of the elite Manhattan Robbery Squad of the NYPD. Prior to that he served as a confidential assistant to the Police Commissioner, the first member of the NYPD assigned to the Counter Terrorism division, confidential assistant to the Deputy Commissioner of Counter Terrorism and Commanding Officer of Manhattan Transit Detectives. Jerry has also had significant experience in executive protection in the Intelligence Division and Police Commissioner's office.

Jerry is also the recipient of eleven department recognitions from the NYPD, one from the Orange County (CA) Sheriff's Department and one from the Port Authority (NY&NJ) Police Department. Jerry has also been honored at 10 Downing Street by Prime Minister Tony Blair and by NASA for recovering an American flag from the site of the World Trade Center attack that was subsuquently flown on the space shuttle Endeavour.

In private industry Jerry served as Managing Director for Excel Security of New York City from 2005 - 2006. In 2003 Jerry consulted with the Mexico City Police and Giuliani Partners to help curb robberies and kidnappings in that city.

Jerry has taught Robbery and Burglary investigation techniques at the NYPD and currently teaches Robbery & Burglary Investigation techniques at the Criminal Investigator's course of the Port Authority of NY & NJ Police department.
